Campaign #DameLaMano
Today we want to let you know the campaign that we launched last Saturday, #DameLaMano. Reviewing news on the networks, we learned about it and we like it so much that we decided to broadcast it and launch it.
The creator of this campaign is Alejandra Muñoz, @mrsaouda from Argentina, with whom we got in touch to ask her permission to join us in her idea and spread the campaign in our networks.
The campaign #DameLaMano is aimed at women and what is proposed is that every woman who wants to join her, wear a purple ribbon on her wrist, easy to buy in any haberdashery, and that serves as a message for other women in a situation of emergency. It is not about making heroin, it is that if a woman feels fear or is uncomfortable, either because someone follows her or feels harassed, can go to that helping hand to accompany her to seek help.

Is it only aimed at women?
It is the question that many men and some women have asked us, and the answer is YES. The reason for being addressed only to women is very simple, if a woman is at risk, feels harassed or intimidated, 99% of the time, if not 100%, that fear is produced by a man . At that time no woman, as a rule, dares to take another man's hand, may ask for help, but surely not take his hand as we propose in this campaign. On the other hand, if you dare to take the hand of another woman, even if you do not know her, and the simple fact of going hand in hand, you will be able to avoid greater evils.
How can men participate?
Men can participate in this campaign encouraging other women to join, explaining what is the reason for doing this campaign, even if you want you can buy a few tapes and invite women you know to join her. That we do not invite men to wear this film does not mean that we are saying that all men are the same, no, only that you have to understand that in the situation we pose, your participation is not appropriate in the same way that a woman can participate.
HOW TO USE IT
Since you have contacted the association with some questions about how to participate in this campaign, we have put some tips so that we all do the same:
- At first we will use a violet ribbon since it is something that we can all easily get at any haberdashery and low cost.
- We will place all the tape in the right hand.
- Since we are in winter and if we use a sleeve that does not allow the tape to be seen, if this situation occurs we will use the tape to make a ring as in the photo, and we will place it on any finger of the right hand where we find comfortable.
